Loadhaus / Bill of lading software

Bill of lading software built from the cases you scanned.

Typing a BOL after the truck is loaded invites mistakes. In Loadhaus the BOL is built from the cases scanned onto the truck, so the counts and weights on the paper match what is on the trailer.

From scan to BOL

  1. Enter the order, or let your customer enter it from their own login.
  2. On the ship screen, type the order number and scan each case. Progress shows as you go.
  3. When the order is complete, tap Finish order and make BOL.
  4. Add the carrier, trailer number, seal number, freight terms and any special instructions, such as holding temperature.
  5. Print the bill of lading.

What is on it

  • Ship from, ship to and owner of the goods
  • Order or PO number and BOL number
  • Carrier, trailer and seal numbers, and freight terms such as prepaid
  • Description of goods by product, with lot numbers, packages and net weight in pounds
  • A case list with every scanned case attached
  • Signature blocks for the shipper, carrier or driver, and consignee

Customers of a cold storage warehouse can print the same BOL from their own login.

Receiving BOLs too

For inbound loads, enter the supplier's BOL or import it from a spreadsheet, then receive against it. The screen shows how many cases you have scanned against how many were expected.

A note on paperwork

Loadhaus builds a straight bill of lading from your scan data. Check with your carriers and customers that it meets their paperwork requirements before you rely on it in place of a form they supply.

Questions

Can Loadhaus make a bill of lading?

Yes. When an order is complete, one tap finishes it and builds a numbered bill of lading from the cases scanned, with a case list attached.

What can I put on the BOL?

Carrier, trailer number, seal number, freight terms and special instructions. Ship from, ship to, product, lots, packages and net weight come from the order and scans.

Can my customers print their own BOLs?

Yes. A customer login for a cold storage customer can print the BOL for its own orders.

Can I import supplier BOLs for receiving?

Yes. Inbound BOLs can be entered or imported from a spreadsheet, and the receive screen shows progress against them.
